SPRAT Safe Practices document updated

SPRAT has released the 19A version of Safe Practices for Rope Access Work.

The entire document has been reorganized, including a new section on clearer requirements for training and certification, first aid and fall protection.

The Certification Requirements for Rope Access Work have also been updated to version 19B to reference Safe Practices.

One of the most notable changes is the update to the requirements of site supervision, including a much more detailed guidance requirements to allow supervision by a Level 2 SPRAT technician.

The minimum requirements and recommendations of an access plan and its components (such as a JSA) are consolidated and presented in a separate section.

SPRAT has also released a new document on standards used in rope access equipment, called Rope Access Equipment Standards, version 19A.

A summary of the changes can be found here: Change Summary: SPRAT Standards and Supplements.
